Welcome and opening prayer
Praise and glory to you Lord our God. Through Jesus we have life and life eternal. For he has opened for us the gate of glory. In our lives help us to know him as our guide and Shepherd and follow where he would lead. Amen.
Confession and absolution
Make our hearts clean oh God;
and renew a right spirit within us.
Father eternal, giver of light and grace, we have sinned against you and against our neighbour,
in what we have thought, in what we have said and done,
through ignorance, through weakness, through our own deliberate fault.
We have wounded your love and marred your image in us.
We are sorry and ashamed, and repent of all our sins.
For the sake of your son Jesus Christ, who died for us,
forgive us all that is past and lead us out of darkness
to walk as children of light. Amen.
The Lord of all mercies forgive you your sins, heal you with his love, and strengthen you by his spirit.
So that you may live to praise his name. Amen.
Intercessions ending in the lord’s prayer.

Affirmation of faith (Philippians 2:5-11)
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. Who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend , in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father. Amen.
The Agape
Heavenly father, we come before you in the name of your son to share in this meal. And as we share our food, so we share your love.
Blessed are you, Lord God of the universe for your son our saviour Jesus Christ was found in the breaking of bread by disciples in Emmaus. We too look for you in the breaking of this bread. (All break their bread.)
As we share this bread, we share in your love for us. (the bread is shared out).
We thank you Father for sharing your Son with us. (All eat together).
Blessed are you Lord God of the universe for your son drank wine with his disciples the night before he died. He shared the wine as a sign of a new covenant. We too are part of that covenant. (All raise their Jugs).
As we share this wine, we share in your lover for others. (the wine is poured)
We thank you Father for calling us to share His love with a broken world. (All drink together).
And so, Father, we know, that as this bread is broken, so are we broken for our loved ones, near and far. As this cup is poured out, so we are poured out for our neighbours, near and far.
We thank you Lord for the love of your Son. For all that he has done and continues to do for us. Amen.
Responsory
This is love, not that we love God,
but that he loved us and sent his son.
He is the sacrifice for our sins,
that we might live through him.
If God loves us so much
we ought to love one another.
If we love one another
God lives in us.
The Blessing and Dismissal.
