Burial Records, 1865 – 2003

This excel spreadsheet contains names and dates and some address details of burials in St Mary’s Churchyard Market Lavington between the years 1685 and 2003.

The original record book (1865-2001) and its predecessor are in the Wiltshire and Swindon Heritage Centre, Chippenham, where it may be inspected.  Any burials since then are in the current burial book, which may be inspected at the Church.

At present some work is being done on a plan to locate burial plots and this may soon be available. However it will not ever be possible to definitively locate graves which do not have legible headstones.
